As a practice, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care and service to our patients. However, like many independent businesses, we are facing rising operational costs that make it necessary to review our pricing structure.
Over the past year, there have been significant increases to the costs of running a dental practice, including, but not limited to, those listed below and with further rises expected, a review has become necessary. We have carefully managed costs and have maintained our membership fees without change, not since the introduction of the service. However, due to these ongoing challenges, an increase has become essential to ensure we can continue to deliver the level of care you expect from us.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
Increased material costs – Essential clinical and dental materials have seen a sharp rise in price due to supply chain challenges and inflation.
General running costs – Expenses such as telephone services, IT support, software systems, and medical equipment maintenance continue to increase.
General and Clinical waste management – The cost of disposing of general and clinical waste safely and in compliance with regulations has risen substantially.
Staff wages and employer contributions – The increase in the National Living Wage and higher employer contributions mean higher staffing costs to ensure we retain and support our skilled team.
Utility costs – Rising energy prices have directly impacted the cost of heating, lighting, and running essential equipment in our practice.
Regulatory and insurance costs – Compliance with industry regulations and professional indemnity insurance premiums has also increased.
